For the past 25 years, photojournalist Janet Macoska has concentrated on the world of rock and roll, taking classic photos of Paul McCartney, David Bowie, and Robert Plant. However in the mid 1970’s, Macoska served as the team photographer for the Cleveland Indians, taking candid shots of popular stars such as Buddy Bell, Len Barker, Joe Charboneau, Julio Franco and Rick Manning. Her work continued through the 1990’s with images of recent greats, Omar Vizquel, Jim Thome, Sandy Alomar and Manny Ramirez. Macoska’s sports photos which include the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Force are available for viewing at the WRHS Library.
